Jason Gehrke

Jason joined TRV as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence in 2024 with a focus on building immunology and genetic medicine companies. Prior to joining Third Rock, he held positions of increasing responsibility at Beam Therapeutics, including leading several research teams and the development of the BEAM-201 program. He completed his PhD in gene editing at Harvard University, where his research focused on advancing the development of genetic and epigenetic editing technologies to create safer, more precise, and more efficacious therapies for patients living with serious diseases. Outside of work, he enjoys surfing, playing tennis, hiking, and learning to speak Italian.
